WILDLIFE DIVERSITY AND BEACH
Visiting some of the island's best wildlife hotspots, including the rainforests of Ranomafana and Andasibe, as well as the unique Ankanin’ny nofy(Palmarium) where you can find the very rare AYE AYE Lemurs. This immersive tour gives you the opportunity to observe up to 20 unique species of lemur in the wild, including the indri, aye-aye and the critically endangered greater bamboo lemur and so many other endemic animals of Madagascar.

DAY 1-ARRIVAL IN TANA
You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Stay at Green Palace hotel
DAY 2-TANA-ANDASIBE
This morning, after breakfast, we will set off in the direction of Andasibe Reserve passing through highland scenery and rice paddies. After 3hours and half drive, we will reach Andasibe and will directly visit the Reserve in search of the largest lemurs of Madagascar and many other species of lemurs and other animals. After the visit, we will have lunch at a restaurant near the park entrance before heading to our lodge and check in and will have an afternoon relax until it’s time for a night walk that we are looking for the smallest lemurs known as mouse lemurs and other night active animals. DAY 3-ANDASIBE NATIONAL PARK
A day visit of Andasibe national park. It is the best park for the indri, the largest lemur, and two of the 62 resident groups have been habituated, making them easy to see. There are eight other species of lemur in Andasibe and the most commonly seen include the grey bamboo lemurs, brown lemurs and woolly lemurs. There are some wonderful chameleons in the reserve including the two-foot-long Parson’s chameleon and the tiny nose-horned chameleon. Frogs are plentiful and birding highlights include Madagascar blue pigeon, coral-billed nuthatches and the Madagascar long-eared owl.
Afternoon visit of Vakona lemurs island where you can get closer to the lemurs and this is the best opportunity of getting close pictures of them. Overnight at Andasibe Lemurs lodge
DAY 4-MAROMIZAHA RESERVE
After breakfast, we are doing 15 minutes’ drive to reach Maromizaha Resreve where will again have a 3-4 hours hike in this primary forest which offers the chance to spot a variety of lemurs, reptiles and birds on foot. One of its most famous inhabitants is the indri, the largest of lemurs, with a black and white teddy bear-like appearance. You hear the indri before you see them and waking up to their songs of communication in the early hours of the morning with the mist still hugging the rainforest canopy will be a highlight of your trip to Madagascar.
DAY 5-ANDASIBE-ANKANIN’NY NOFY
This morning you set off east towards the Pangalanes Canals on the east coast. This is a series of lakes that were linked together to form a safe passage up the east coast. After a 45-minute boat trip passing through fishing villages you will arrive at the private reserve of Palmarium. The rest of the day is yours at leisure to relax and enjoy the lemurs that live in the trees around the lodge or maybe pop down to the lake for a refreshing dip! This place provides excellent photograph opportunities as you can get very close to the lemurs. The afternoon is yours at leisure. You can visit a nearby island at 17.30 to go in search of aye aye where currently 6 live. The tour takes approximately one hour and includes return boat transfers. Overnight at Palmarium hotel
DAY 6-ANKANIN’NY NOFY
Morning visit of the Palmarium Reserve and afternoon visit of the nearby villages.
DAY 7-ANKANINOFY-MANTASOA
Depart from Ankanin’ny Nofy to Mantasoa where we will spend night at Mantasoa lodge, this is in order to break down the long drive back to Tana and overnight in a peaceful and quiet place. Overnight at Mantasoa lodge
DAY 8-MANTASOA-ANTSIRABE
Drive to Antsirabe, en-route stop at Ambatolampy for a visit of Aluminum recycling workshops. City tour of Antsirabe before checking at the hotel. Stay at COULEUR CAFÉ HOTEL
DAY 9-ANTSIRABE-RANOMAFANA
Morning visit of some of highlights of Antsirabe before heading to Ranomafana national Park. Lunch stop at the town of Ambositra and visit of some woodcarving workshops before continuing to Ranomafana where we will overnight at Thermal hotel
DAY 10-RANOMAFANA NP
A day visit of Ranomafana NP. The steep hills are covered in thick vegetation, occasionally broken by waterfalls and mountain streams. The park’s star attraction is the golden bamboo lemur, often found grazing among the bamboo thickets. Eleven other species of lemur include diademed sifakas that leap through the canopy during the day and brown mouse lemurs who race up and down tree trunks by night.
Heading deep into the park, you may hear the calls of cuckoo rollers, catch a glimpse of a leaf-tailed gecko or stumble across the graves of the Tanala, ‘the people of the forest’. It is well worth spending a few days hiking around this enchanting park. This evening, we are doing a short visit to find nocturnal lemurs known as mouse lemurs and many other night active animals.
DAY 11-RANOMAFANA-AMBALAVAO
Drive to Ambalavao. Visit of small local own silk weaving workshops, local market, learn more about local culture and lifestyle. Overnight at Zongo Hotel
DAY 12-AMBALAVAO-TSARANORO VALLEY
Today, we leave the main national road and take a off-road trip to the very remote village of Tsaranoro and its valley, we will also visit a local community run park to see lots of ring tailed lemurs in their natural habitat. Overnight at Camp Catta lodge.
DAY 13-TSARANORO-ISALO
Leave Tsaranoro and drive to Isalo. Stay at Orchidée hotel
DAY 14-ISALO NP
Isalo National Park is home to some of Madagascar’s most stunning scenery, and is a sacred place for the Bara tribe, whose burial sites are marked by mounds of tiny stones placed in crevices in the rock face. Hiking up to the massif, visitors enter a barren wonderland of twisted rock formations and extraordinary plants, shimmering in the heat of the plateau. Squat elephant’s foot plants cling to the rocks, a few dry grasses blow in the wind, and succulent aloes thrive.
Wildlife concentrates in the numerous shady gorges and cool running streams that carve through the massif. Deciduous woodland grows in each canyon’s higher levels, and it is here that Isalo’s lemurs are most often found. Brown lemurs feed among the branches, Verreaux’s sifakas leap from rock to rock, and troops of cheeky ringtails wander along the pathways.
DAY 15-ISALO-TOLIARA
Drive to Toliara, city tour. Stay at Auberge de la Table.
DAY -16-TOLIARA-ANAKAO
Take a boat to Anakao for our beach stay. Anakao is an Authentic fishermen village.
DAYS-17-18-ANAKAO
Daily excursions by boat or canoe to the neighboring islands of coral origin; Nosy Ve and Nosy Satrana are among the activities that we can do when in Anakao.
Nosy Ve and Nosy Satrana islands are located less than 10 minutes by motorboat are surrounded by white sand beaches and the waters are crystal clear. At low tide, a shuttle provides the connection to the open sea of the bay for dives in larger funds.
DAY 19-ANAKAO-TOLIARA-TANA
Early morning boat trip back to Toliara and catch the flight back to Tana
DAY 20-TANA
City tour, visit of the old king Palace of Ambohimanga Rova.
DAY 21-DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport and catch the flight out.
